Nick Hughes is an experienced writer and editor specialising in food and environmental affairs. His journalism has been published in publications including The Times, The Ecologist and The Grocer. He has also worked as a policy adviser in the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs and as a food sustainability adviser for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
Nick's first children's picture book is Carlton's Perfect Part. It tells the story of an ugly carrot who keeps getting rejected by chefs as an ingredient in their recipe before finding his perfect part in a baker's carrot cake.
